Laibach has a strong image and a very distinctive sound so they have always attracted a lot of curiosity and there are those who simply love the bombastic loudest of Laibach’s music.
One of the biggest problems for Laibach is that many of their audience are not entirely sure what is Laibach’s agenda since independence, it had seemed clear before even if they didn’t fully understand the heavy ambiguity.
There is also the trendy argument for some bands to pack it up and move aside for the new generation however more often than not we are just left with a void and at the end of the day who can replace Laibach.

Laibach recieved permission to play their first solo concerts in the United States on the 24th and 25th of June, for the "New York Festival of Arts" at "The Kitchen" in New York City.
Laibach's sub-group "Dreihundert Tausend Verschiedene Krawalle" performed along side an exhibition of paintings and graphic art by Laibach on April the 28th at the "Student Cultural Centre" in Ljubljana.

Laibach was based on the key premise that "all art is subject to political manipulation, except for that which speaks the language of this same manipulation." This perspective emerged from the ideological cacophony that characterized the final years of the self-management system in Yugoslavia.
Laibach and NSK spoke openly of a monumental assertion of (the superiority of) Slovene culture.
Laibach's use of German and its equally disturbing posters and graphics offered an easy target for the authorities and conservative social opinion determined to prove that alternative culture was simply a cover for the resurgence of fascism.

Laibach, as founders and chief theoreticians of NSK and as manipulators of popular music - one of the most powerful and universally understood languages of global culture - are the most successful of NSK's groups, not only in terms of fame and fortune, but in terms of NSK strategy.
Laibach and NSK have used these same tactics in relation to totalitarianism, by setting themselves up as a model of the system (in fact all conflicting aspects of the system) in order to show it in its true light, including its ugly negative side.
Laibach works as a team (the collective spirit), according to the principle of industrial production and totalitarianism, which means that the individual does not speak: the organisation does.
