United States dollar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This coin was popular among American colonists who called it the Spanish dollar, the name having derived from a German coin of similar size and composition known as the thaler).
The Susan B. Anthony dollar coin was introduced in 1979; these proved to be unpopular because they were often mistaken for quarters, thanks to their nearly-equal size, their milled edge, and their similar color.
Technically, all these coins are still legal tender at face value, though they are all worth far more to any coin collector.

 Coin Collecting - Heavens
In 1860 bronze coins were introduced to replace the large copper coins which were rather clumsy and soon became worn because of the softness of the metal and the amount of circulation they received.
It is believed that a few of the twelve-sided threepenny pieces were sent to slot machine manufacturers to obtain their comments on this coin, the shape of which was new to the English coinage and a very few of these were not returned to the mint and have since got into the hands of collectors.
Owing to the fact that the crown completes a `type’ set of crown pieces for the collector of English coins, it is now a much sought after coin and commands a high price.

 Quarter Coin
A design of a coin is made and lots of test models go into making a coin.
When the plaster model is finished, an exact duplicate of the coin is made into metal and a tracing lathe is used to mill a master die.
Once a design is approved for minting, a plaster model of the coin is made.

Since these coins would all be magnetic, including the 1 cent coin, test coins were struck so that vending machine companies could calibrate their machines to them.
The quarters issued for circulation in 1999 were a set of 12 different commemoratives, which Commemorate different aspects of Canadian History.
Several thousand of each denomination were struck for this purpose, and almost immediately they appeared in the collector market at rather high prices (averaging over $80.00 per coin).

In our opinion, these coins are always in demand by collectors and will be the easiest coins to liquidate later, and turn the best profits.
These are always the hardest to find, most desirable collector coins and have historically been top market performers.

Quarter (Canadian coin) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The quarter is a Canadian coin, valued at 25 cents or one-fourth of a Canadian dollar.
This coin has the most commonly altered reverse in Canada, being the usual venue for commemorative issues.
This is because the sou originally referred to a monetary unit used in France (and also New France), whereas today in Canadian French it means a Canadian cent, and somewhere in history 120 sous of New France came to be worth the equivalent of what eventually became the Canadian dollar.
